Leo Morrow officiating. Survivors include his loving mother, Doris; one brother, Clayton Morrow Morrow Morrow one daughter, LaShonda LaShore; one son Charles Morrow three grandchildren; two uncles, Eddie Ford of Plantersville and Willie (Maggie) Morrow of Louisville, two aunts, Lorene McGhee of Plantersville and Lois Callens of Birmingham; one special niece, Dana Morrow of Chicago, three special nephews, Clayton Morrow Jr. and Cedric Morrow of Maryland and Travis Morrow of New York; and a host of cousins, friends and other relatives. Mr. Morrow was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Morrow Sr.
Active pallbearers are Andrew McGhee, Michael McGhee, Charlie Peoples, Isaiah Marzette, John Ford and Clarence Peoples. Pullom was a member of the Aimwell Church Choir and president of the Matrons Occupation. She touched many lives as a teacher and a nurse. Pearline N. Dunning September 3, 1999 Pearline N. Dunning, of Selma, died Friday, Sept.
3, 1999 at her home. Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Steven Washington officiating.
Burial followed in the Arimount Cemetery, Sunny South, with Miller Funeral Home directing. Survivors include seven daughters, Ludy B. (James) Gildersleeve of Selma, Cora Dell Ramsey of Chicago, Elmire (L.O., Sr.) Hope of Dixon Mills, Alma Dunning of Camden, Nellie D. Blackmon of Selma, Loretta L. Moore and Izola (Melza) Pritchett both of Chicago, one son, Canterberry Dunning of Tuscaloosa; one sister-in-law, Tina Tate of Dixon Mills; 36 grandchildren; 59 greatgrandchildren; 15 great-greatgrandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Dunning, two children and one grandchild. Active pallbearers are Ulysses Blackmon Prentice Marsh, L.O. Hope James S. Blackmon, Charles Moore Jr. and Jerome Elliott.
Honorary pallbearers are Julius L. Bouler Ralph Williams Derrick Wilmer, Marcus Elliott and Anthony Ramsey. Mrs. Dunning was born on Aug. 20, 1897, one of eight children born to the late Nathan and Bama Norton of Vineland.
She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Shady Union Baptist Church in Surginer, later joining Epiphany Lutheran, and later joined Trinity Lutheran, Selma, where she served faithful until her health failed. She was married" in 1919. She served her family with loyalty, dedication, a deep sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of each member. Her rich full life was recognized by President Bill Clinton and the First Lady, Hillary Clinton, along with Mayor Joe T. Smitherman and her own community.
She was presented with a key to the city on her 96th, 98, and 102nd birthday. Media recognition was also given by Willard Scott on Good Morning America of NBC news for her 100th birthday in August of 1997.
