Top 199 Reviews From Legit Town Fair Tire Buyers (2024)

I recently on September 11, 2023 visited a Town Fair Tire located at 1414 Washington Street, Hanover MA 02339. As I walked in the door as the first customer at 0758 I was greeted by three individuals whom avoided eye contact with myself and off the bat made me feel like I was an inconvenience... so I stood and patiently awaited until the awkward pause was then interrupted by one of the men stating “Hi, do you have an appointment this morning.” I then explained how I just worked down the street since 3 pm the previous day (total of 17 hours) and I did not have an appointment. I was exhausted and when I went to my car to leave work… one of the tires I had recently purchased would not hold air (purchased two sets of four tires within the last year).

My car barely made it to the store I explained and I have at least an hour drive home. He took my info and stated, “Ya well the tire you have we don’t have here so you gotta be patient and sit and wait until we can slap it on.” I said, “Ok that’s fine... I don’t have anyone to drive me and I need my car so I’ll wait.” I waited in the front of the store seating area and heard the guy state “Not one appointment showed up this morning...” and then more customers without appointments flooded in. Buying four new sets of tires.

Waiting briefly where I was and I believe three other customers left before my car was even brought back to be taken care of. As I sat and waited patiently exhausted it was now almost 10:45 am and I had gotten there at 7:58 am once again after working 17 hours in a critical care patient care environment…. I went to the desk and asked “I am just wondering when my car will be ready since it’s almost 11 am and I have to return to work this evening for 7 pm?” The same man who just came back from walking to McDonald’s and having multiple personal phone conversations that morning stated “Listen, I said you had to wait patiently and I can’t give you a time because you didn’t have an appointment.”

I then bit my tongue and sat back down to wait… I see my car at 11:15 am then be driven to the back of the store and I was just blown away it hadn’t even been touched or looked at for that matter. 1 p.m. rolls around and my name's finally called. I go to the register and the man ringing me out says he can’t fix an item added to my bill since I should only be paying for labor.

I stood there and waited until he could talk to at least two other people to figure it out and then pay the approx 60 something bill at that time…. I left and got home around 3:30pm… as I leave to go to work on 2 hours if that... I start my car… as I am leaving it flags a warning sign I’ve never seen “Stop maintenance required, tire levels dangerously low.” I cautiously drive to the gas station down the street as I pay for air… I realize the new tire valves I just purchased were stolen off my car I just put on which had me fuming at that point. Really. Like $10 dollar Lexus tire valve covers? You're going to steal from someone that you gave service to?

I know it was the store mechanics at the Town Fair Tire because I had purchased them myself that week with some birthday money I received and I like to upgrade little things on my car when possible. I then proceed to add air to each tire…. The tire I had the store switch out was not filled at maintenance level …. Nor was any other tire.

I then get back in my car to see now two tires aren’t holding air and the weather of down pouring rain was scary enough…. I hydroplaned and found myself having to call a tow truck to safely tow my car back home (AAA) then proceeded to have to call out of work for the night on little sleep due to this horrible experience with this store. You literally stole from a nurse who barely sleeps because she is working to help care for the sick elderly? How low can you be to steal literally tire valve caps. Mind you put my safety in jeopardy and not even have a care in the world?! I will be posting this review on every forum because I believe in the public being fully aware of how poorly your company values safety and the well-being of your customers.

The mechanics at Hanover Town Fair Tire should ultimately be ashamed of the horrendous customer service provided and hands down be reprimanded if not fired for not only stealing from a customer in general but not checking the tires' air (all four) and or balancing prior to clearing my car to be “taken care of” to safely drive moving forward.

I have never in my life had such below-the-barrel service in my life nor do I usually have any time to find to complain… given the circ*mstances I will like I said make note to notify the general public in all sleep deprivation I am at the moment…. Because it is worth the time to tell people to NOT GO TO TOWN FAIR TIRE IF YOU WANT SAFE, RELIABLE TIRE SERVICE. To quote from their website, “For more than 55 years we at Town Fair Tire have been serving the community by offering the safest and longest-wearing tires at the guaranteed lowest prices. We constantly strive to meet our personal goal of delivering top-notch customer service.”

Well, that was most definitely not my experience whatsoever…. I am still beyond blown away and disgusted by this horrible service and company, to say the least. Please reconsider getting tires and even stepping foot into this store if you care about your safety as well as any other person in your life. These people are rude, condescending… and will steal most likely more than just tire valve covers from you. Pretty sad to see this type of treatment for customer service in today's world.
