ℹOur team members, Eleni Loulli and Filippos Charalambous, participated as part of the CERBERUS project team at the ESA Agriculture Science Cluster Kick-off meeting that took place on 📅16-17 May at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy. 🌍The ESA Agriculture Science Cluster was recently launched to promote networking, collaborative research, and international collaboration in the domain of 🛰 Earth Observation and ☘️Agriculture. 🌐It involves several projects and activities funded by ESA and the European Commission, bringing together different expertise, data, and resources in a synergistic manner to ensure that the result may be larger than the sum of its parts.#ERATOSTHENESCoE #Εxcelsior2020EU #EXCELSIOR #CerberusCerberusProject

To Κέντρο Αριστείας Ερατοσθένης συμμετείχε το Σάββατο 11 Μάϊου 2024, στη μεγάλη γιορτή για την Ημέρα την Ευρώπης και την 20η επέτειο της ένταξης της Κύπρου στην ΕΕ, στον Μόλο Λεμεσού. Το περίπτερο του ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence επισκέφθηκε και ο Πρόεδρος της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας Nikos Christodoulides, όπου συνομίλησε με προσωπικό του Κέντρου και ενημερώθηκε για την πορεία του σχετικά με τη χρήση δεδομένων τηλεπισκόπησης και παρατήρησης Γης σε διάφορους τομείς της καθημερινής ζωής, όπως η ατμόσφαιρα και το κλίμα, η γεωργία και η διαχείριση υδάτινων πόρων, οι ανθεκτικές κοινωνίες σε πλημμύρες και πυρκαγιές. Ο Πρόεδρος Χριστοδουλίδης, επιβεβαίωσε πως ο «Ερατοσθένης» είναι ο βασικός εταίρος του κράτους για την ανάδειξη της θέσης της χώρας μας ως περιφερειακού κόμβου τεχνολογίας και καινοτομίας σε θεματικές διαστημικής τεχνολογίας. Πληροφορήθηκε επίσης πως το Κέντρο αναμένεται να εργοδοτήσει πέραν των 150 ατόμων μέχρι το 2026.#EUday #eratosthenescoe #cyprus #limassolEuropean Commission
